Studio Hum is an arts collaborative located in Downtown Johnson City, TN. Blue Plum Zendo is the physical and spiritual center of Studio Hum. Our meditation hall is situated in the center of a ring of private and shared studios where Zen Buddhist practice intermingles with local arts, design, and culture. Studio Hum and local community members are invited to host events in this central space as well. The Studio Hum concept, design, and management are by Polly Horne & Daniel Burney - zen students and Polyarch Architecture & Design team. Studio Hum lives at 108 W 10th Ave, Suite #1, on the top floor.
We are located just off of North Roan St. behind the Medicine Shoppe, accross the street from Goodoo Bowl and Open Door Coffeehouse. Vista Ridge Detal Arts (Dr. Amy Moody) is on the 1st floor of our building. Appalachian Dharma & Meditation Center and The Lotus Room are located in the basement.
