Studio Hum is an arts center located in Downtown Johnson City, TN. Our unique studio environment supports spiritual practice, artists, and professionals.

The Blue Plum Zendo is the central meditation hall at Studio Hum, located on the 2nd floor and nestled in the center of a ring of private and shared studios. Here traditional Zen Buddhist practice intermingles with local arts, design, and culture.

The Lotus Room is a 1,400 square foot event space and performance venue that has been serving the downtown Johnson City community for 15 years. The Lotus Room currently offers regular weekly yoga classes, and is available for rent as an event space.

Studio Hum offers private studio rentals located on the 2nd floor of our building. These studios provide a quiet a peaceful work environment with panoramic mountain views. Ideal for artists & professionals. Click this link to learn more about our available rooms.

We are located just off of North Roan St. behind the Medicine Shoppe, across the street from Goodoo Bowl and Open Door Coffeehouse. Vista Ridge Detal Arts (Dr. Amy Moody) is on the 1st floor of our building. Appalachian Dharma & Meditation Center and The Lotus Room are located in the basement. Our private studios and the Blue Plum Zendo are located on the 2nd floor.

Blue Plum Zendo is privately operated by students of the Mountains & Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism. All donations and proceeds go toward the rent of our space and Blue Plum Zen Group expenses. Donations are deeply appreciated, and are necessary for us to continue our offerings. Thank you for your support!
